VALTRO is a private photo and video vault designed to keep your content secure on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use VALTRO.

1. We do not collect your personal data

• VALTRO does not create user accounts.
• We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos, videos, passwords, or any other personal content to our own servers.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

All vault content (including intruder photos) is stored locally on your device, encrypted according to the app’s internal design. We, as the developer, do not have access to it.

2. Information stored on your device

When you use VALTRO, the app may store the following on your device only:

• Photos and videos you import into the vault
• Vault metadata (folder names, tags, timestamps)
• Passcode/decoy passcode data (secured using system storage mechanisms)
• Intruder capture photos and logs, if you enable that feature
• Local settings (e.g., preferences, subscription status flags)

This information is used solely to provide the app’s functionality and is not transmitted to us.

Important: If you delete the app, reset your device, lose access to your device, or if the app data becomes corrupted, your vault content may be permanently lost. We cannot recover it for you and are not responsible for any loss of photos, videos, or other data.

3. Device services and permissions

To work properly, VALTRO may request access to:

• Photos / Media Library: to import photos and videos into your vault.
• Camera: to capture new photos/videos and to take intruder photos if you enable that feature.
• Face ID / Touch ID (if available): to allow biometric unlocking if you choose to enable it.

You can change these permissions at any time in your device Settings. If you revoke permissions, certain features may not function.

4. Intruder photo capture

If you enable intruder capture, VALTRO may use the device camera to take a photo when incorrect PINs are entered. These intruder photos:

• Are saved only inside the vault on your device
• Are not uploaded to us or to any third-party server by the app
• Are under your sole control and responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that use of this feature complies with any privacy, recording, or surveillance laws in your jurisdiction.

5. Analytics and third-party services

In its current version, VALTRO:

• Does not use third-party analytics SDKs to track your behavior inside the app.
• Does not use advertising networks inside the app.

The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store, which may collect its own data in accordance with Apple’s privacy policies. We do not control Apple’s data practices.

6. iCloud and device backups

VALTRO is designed primarily as a device-only vault. However:

• Your iOS device may include the app’s local data in system-level backups (e.g., iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backups) if you have those enabled.
• Those backups are controlled by Apple and/or your own backup configuration, not by us.

We do not have access to your backups. You are responsible for configuring, securing, or disabling backups according to your privacy needs.

7. Children’s privacy

VALTRO is intended for users 13 years of age or older (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that violates this policy, please contact us so we can address the issue.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures within the app to help protect your content on your device. However:

• No security system is perfect.
• We cannot guarantee absolute security of data stored on your device.
• You are responsible for keeping your device secure (e.g., passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, avoiding jailbreaks, etc.).

We are not liable for unauthorized access to your device, loss of your device, or misuse of VALTRO caused by third parties or by your own actions.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective date” at the top. Your continued use of VALTRO after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
