Terms of Use – VALTRO

By downloading, installing, or using VALTRO (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License and use of the App

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install VALTRO on your iOS device(s); and
• Use the App solely for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws.

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the App (except where permitted by law).
• Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App.
• Use the App for any illegal, harmful, or infringing purpose.

2. Your content and responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The photos, videos, and other content you import into the vault.
• Backing up any content you wish to keep.
• Ensuring that your use of the App complies with applicable law (including privacy and recording laws in your jurisdiction).

We do not access or control the content stored in your vault and cannot recover it if it is lost.

No responsibility for lost data

You understand and agree that we are not responsible or liable for any loss, deletion, corruption, or unavailability of your photos, videos, intruder captures, or other data, including but not limited to loss caused by:

• Deleting the app
• Device loss, damage, or theft
• Device reset or update
• System-level backup/restore issues
• User error, forgotten passwords, or corrupted storage
• Jailbroken or otherwise modified devices

You are fully responsible for remembering your passcodes and managing your own backups (if desired).

3. Intruder capture feature

If you enable intruder capture:

• The App may use the device camera to take photos when incorrect PINs are entered.
• These images are stored locally in the vault on your device.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of this feature complies with all applicable privacy, surveillance, and data protection laws. We do not provide legal advice and are not liable for how you use this feature.

4. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

VALTRO may offer premium features via subscriptions or one-time in-app purchases:

• Purchases are processed by Apple via your Apple ID account.
• Payment, billing, refunds, and cancellation are governed by Apple’s terms and policies.
• Subscriptions may automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID account settings.

We do not handle your payment details directly and cannot manage or cancel subscriptions on your behalf.

5. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, logo, code, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You obtain no ownership rights by using the App. You agree not to use our name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written consent, except as necessary to use the App in accordance with these Terms.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App to store, transmit, or manage content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Use the App in a way that violates third-party rights (including privacy and intellectual property rights).
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems.
• Use the App to harass, stalk, or track others.

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to disable or restrict your use of the App if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms or applicable law.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

VALTRO is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Reliability or availability of the App
• Security of data stored on your device

We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all devices or future OS versions.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, privacy, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
• Our total cumulative liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for the App or in-app purchases during the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or the minimum allowed by law if that amount is zero).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this clause may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You may stop using VALTRO at any time by deleting the App from your device.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the App.

Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. You are responsible for backing up or exporting any data you wish to keep before deleting the App.

10. Changes to the App and Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the App at any time, with or without notice.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the App after any changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [your state / country], without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You agree that any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [your city / region], unless applicable law requires otherwise.
